Sid Bryan is the one of the most highly respected knitwear designers of his generation.
After graduating from the Royal College Of Art he set up his own workroom providing an exclusive fully functioning knit atelier utilising both hand and factory standard machine knit and immediately began working with Alexander McQueen and Bella Freud producing iconic knitted catwalk showpieces. His varied portfolio includes working for many of the most important designers and labels in fashion today including Lanvin, Giles, Jonathan Saunders, Jasper Conran and Fendi. |
His work on the Giles AW 07 Collection featuring gigantic hand knits has been credited as firing the recent hand knit revolution with oversized shapes filtering down to every level of the fashion market.
In May 2008 Sid, together with Joe Bates and Cozette McCreery launched SIBLING a fashion forward men's knitwear label recently awarded the British Fashion council's New Gen Men sponsorship for an event in September 2010. |
